pickA good installment in the adventures of Peabody, Emerson, & Ramses, but I will say I didn‘t enjoy this one quite as much; Peabody & crew are strongest in Egypt. I liked watching Ramses figure out how to deal w/his awful cousins. But the jealousy subplot felt forced & out of character-just a play into the trad romantic storylines that doesn‘t fit this very untrad duo. Overall a good story, but not up to the usual standard of the series.
bookandbedandtea I completely agree with every word of this. Peabody and Emerson are one of my fave #litcouples of all time but this installment falls a little short of the mark for me. I really felt for Ramses in this one. I felt traumatized by his hideous cousins and I only had to read it! 6y
