Charlie Jane Anders co-founded one of my "check daily" SF sites (io9, which has not been quite the same since she left to focus on her writing) and she wrote All the Birds in the Sky which A.) was awesome and B.) won the freakin' Nebula Award for Best Novel.

I read this book last summer for my LGBTIQ resources and services class. This year, it's nominated for the William Allen White Book Award. I met the author via a Zoom interview and they are an amazing person. It's an awesome middle grade book told from the point of view of a transgender youth who wants to be recognized for who she truly is on the inside. Definitely a must-read! #TransVoices
