Having read this so shortly after Our Kids: The America Dream in Crisis was a #Powerful combination. If you aren't screwed by the opportunity gap in childhood, you're pretty likely to be screwed by the bottom-line mentality of the corporate world.

Staying in an Air B&B in my hometown to visit friends and family, and just needed a moment for myself. 😮💨😌
Next up is nonfiction. I‘ve been a stay-at-home mom for a long time now and I need all the help I can get to rejoin the workforce 😮💨
I normally don‘t post non-book related stuff, but I am so excited that I had to share: I accepted a job offer today! My current place of work has been incredibly toxic, and I am so happy to get out. The only downside is I have to move my library to the living room b/c the job is remote and I will be putting my desk here. Now for the challenge of culling my books and moving all of this.

If you‘re considering a change in careers this is the book for you.
I was expecting a more robust examination of the downsizing of the professional class. It was more of a first-person account, light on research and heavy on anecdote. I won‘t pan it outright because the writing is good, just not what I expected.
Not book related per se, but I'm really, really excited to finally leave the finance industry.
Pretty sure there's a bookstore trip happening tomorrow to celebrate. 🤓
