repost for @Crinoline_Laphroaig:

#Pemberlittens last #JaneAdjacent Book Club read of 2024
#JaneAustenThenAndNow begins in January.

When choosing books for #12MonthsOfJane I knew Yuletide was perfect for December. Short stories are wonderful during the holiday season. Plus there's something for everyone. And I love that it benefits Chawton Great House. Grab your copy and enjoy over the festive season. Discussion Post will be up December 30th.

🤩 This beautiful story was so much fun! Their chemistry felt so familiar, all while still adding a new take and new, modern ways for them to connect 🚤 I also really liked her family, finally fleshed out and capable in their own ways, v chaotic good 🥰 another win for these authors!

Having enjoyed Emma on 83rd Street, I jumped at the opportunity to devour another Jane Austen retelling by this talented duo. As I suspected, it did not disappoint.

While in #Bath, I visited the #JaneAusten center. Tbh the shop is better than the exhibition, but the love for these books really shines through in every detail. There were multiple pictures of brooding Mr Darcy, played by Colin Firth (notice the pin), spread throughout the center, which was hilarious.
What‘s your favourite Austen novel? I‘ve only read P&P and Emma.

Ruthiella I love them all except Mansfield Park. I need to re-read it and consider the time it was written. Fanny is a difficult heroine to like for this modern reader. 4mo
Cuilin I love them all, but my favorites are Persuasion and Sense and Sensibility. I‘d love to visit Bath. 4mo
bookandbedandtea Persuasion is my favorite book despite Lizzie & Darcy being my favorite couple. ❤️ My next favorite is either P&P or S&S depending on my mood and which one I read most recently. 4mo
Deblovestoread Persuasion, S&S and P&P are my faves. I hope to get to Bath one day. 4mo
