#InDeathLongReadalong #IDLR: Book 18 Ch.6-10: ooh, we‘re into spy games now? I found that to be a neat twist. I thought Bissel was a cheating ass but didn‘t think he was a spy. Poor Reva. She really is a victim here. I don‘t get why Eve gets so cranky with Roarke all the time. She needs to calm down haha. But then I guess she wouldn‘t be our Eve. ⬇️

StayCurious Also, there were hints that her and Roarke‘s fathers knew each other but now it‘s confirmed. Is that too much of a coincidence for us or are we ok with that? 1d
Ddzmini @StayCurious I thought that was telling that they were both disturbing individuals 1d

dabbe Updated on the #LELH spreadsheet! 🤩 1d
LiseWorks I found it kind of weird about the fathers, and yes, Eve always gets mad at Roarke with her it's got to be done by the book but that us who she is 1d
TheAromaofBooks Ack! My copy finally came in from the library! I am so far behind on this one 😂 16h

For those of you who read #InDeathLongReadalong and want to know what Roarke would look like, here is a Gpt generated photo after all the descriptions were inputted from the series. They put him in space or, as the books say, off planet. It seems funny to me as we don't care what Eve looks like but are fascinated by Roarke. #RoarkeFans

ShananigansReads Is it me or does this rendering look very John Stamos? 🤣🤦🏾‍♀️ 2d
StayCurious I don‘t know why he‘s got an armour piece on his arm… 2d
LiseWorks @StayCurious you know he is always inventing things right? Maybe it's some sort of communication device 🤔 🤷 2d
LiseWorks @ShananigansReads absolutely not look like John Stamos at all 🙃🤣 2d

Ddzmini @LiseWorks exactly I would love that.. shh you can almost here it 👂🏼 @TheAromaofBooks yes exactly what I picture 😍 @StayCurious hair yes yes 2d
Gissy Wow! Maybe I was focused in his personality which I don‘t like much but definitely I didn‘t imagine him like that 😂 2d
Ddzmini @Gissy it‘s the way Eve describes that makes him look like this to me 1d
Gissy @Ddzmini I know, it‘s me the problem 😳😂that I just focused in his personality. I can‘t deny it, it is related with background and job experience, personality comes first to me. Maybe too harsh looking for those dark traces? Maybe? 🤷🏽‍♀️🤣 1d
Ddzmini @Gissy yea I get it I‘ve had some bad experiences which influences me about different experiences with not only characters in books but the way people treat others … I‘d rather stay home and read then go around someone I know that doesn‘t respect others but I‘ve also had a hard time reading some books because of character representation so I completely get it 1d

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 18 Ch.1-5: this was an interesting start to the case. We don‘t see what the perpetrator thinks until later in the book. We see the victim‘s actions first thing. We know Reva is framed right off but how will Eve know that and prove it? I loved the banter between Peabody and Eve and the fact that Eve told Roarke what she would do if she caught him cheating 😂 I am worried they will butt heads during this case though.

Ddzmini It something to think about what would happen if cheating was involved…. I love that both Roarke and Eve described what they would do and at this point I believe they would follow through 1w
LiseWorks @Ddzmini more Eve than Roarke, I can see her do it. She is such a bad ass in a good way. Lol 1w

Pickpick

December 2025 Book #1

I have different editions and I am only in book 3🤦🏽‍♀️Those of you ,who have read my reaction to this series, know that I see a little strange that relationship between Eve Dallas and Roarke, I think he, in some way, try to control Eve, and she, is in someway, is vulnerable, which means for me, that there is a control there,. Anyway, thats my perception as a reader. Most people love Roarke. But I enjoy this book. ⬇️

Gissy (Cont) It seems Dallas is going to take a big step in her relationship with Roarke but then occurred this brutal murder and she prioritized her job. The story has funny scenes and dramatic ones like those with Eve and her traumatic past experience😢Even when it was interesting , I noticed some procedures unrealistic, not accurate due to conflict of interest in her participation. Did I say unrealistic? 🤔Are we seeing something like⬇ (edited) 1w
Gissy (Cont.) that, now, in some “poltical world”?🤔Never mind, back to the story. Based on some legal aspects related with my past work, it could be expected not see that involvement due to conflict of interest, there…it sounds better. Well, it has a good ending because you want to know what is going to happen in that relationship…tan..tan..tan..tan…3.5/3.8⭐️ 1w

#InDeathLongReadalong #IDLR #Welcome2026Readathon Started book 18 in the In Death series. So far, a friend of Roarke‘s seems to have been framed in a gruesome murder. luckily, Eve is not the type to just go by what a crime looks like - she takes every case personally and she‘ll get to the bottom of it.
