Naked in Death | J D Robb

Pickpick

Never thought I‘d read and enjoy a Nora Robert‘s book, so thank you @Soubhiville and #AuthorAMonth! Had no idea she writes Sci-fi thrillers under a different name either. This one is action-packed and enjoyable brain candy featuring a tough detective with a complicated past of her own which is just what I needed this busy month.

Written in the 1990s but set in the 2050s, it was interesting to see her take on the future (she played it safe). 😊

Soubhiville I was so glad to find she wrote more than just romances! 1d
Karisa @Soubhiville I would‘ve had no idea that she was also JD Robb but for your post! Otherwise I probably would‘ve skipped this month. Thank you! 😊 1d

Missing in Death | J D Robb
post image
Pickpick

Aboard the Staten Island ferry a scene of horror awaits: a public bathroom covered with blood, a missing tourist, & a killer who seems to have disappeared into thin air. Det Lt Eve Dallas is called in to work the scene & find the missing tourist - is she the victim or did she just see something she shouldn't have?

OutsmartYourShelf This was a great quick read, & it had a wonderfully involved plot for a short story of under 100 pages. Even enough room for a little friendly snark between Dallas & Peabody. 4.5🌟

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 17 Ch.16-23/Review. The final chapters, as Eve was closing in, kept me on the edge of my seat. I wanted it to be Renquist - if only because I disliked how pompous and snooty he and his wife were. Characters like that bug me. And what he was doing to his poor nanny was despicable. I liked how Peabody kept pace with Eve and spoke her mind about the case. She‘s gained confidence and it makes me so proud 🥹.⬇️

StayCurious Now things will change between the two of them as Peabody becomes Eve‘s partner. Big things are on the horizon for our girl. Looking forward to the next book. 2w
ShananigansReads I was so happy when Mrs Renquist got all her attitude thrown right in her face. I‘m so happy for Peabody. I can‘t wait to see how this new partnership evolves. 2w
Ddzmini Loved the ending of this it really was an interesting read and the progress that Peabody has made is great 2w
TheAromaofBooks I got way too emotional with the scene between Dallas and Peabody at the end 😂This one was pretty satisfying overall - I loved the way everything came together. 2w

Framed in Death | J. D. Robb

The In Death Series is probably my favorite series out there. Framed in Death is the 61st book in the series. When I read this series, I feel like I'm visiting old friends. Eve Dallas has grown so much since the first book. J D Robb has developed each character amazingly. Not only the MC's but the other characters as well.

Someone is killing and dressing the victims as paintings from some of the masters of art. Eve is tasked with ⬇️

MonicaLoves2Read ⬆️ finding the killer. I like the fact that Eve dreams of the victims in these books. As she dreams she walks in the footsteps of the killer.

This is a futuristic suspense police procedural book. It can be read as a standalone, but you won't know how all the characters have changed and interacted with each other throughout this series.
