Summer 1975. I'm on the couch and sighing heavily. My mom walks by. Sensing my ennui, she asks, “What's wrong?“ Me: “I'm bored.“ Cue long pause. Mom: “Did you ever consider the fact that you might be BORING? It's summer, and you can't find something to do? That's on YOU. It's up to you to make your life interesting--nobody but you.“

LiseWorks My mother used to say to be bored was a disease and you don't look sick to me. Then she would list house chores I could be doing lol 13mo
