Early in the book, treatment of female victim made me angry. Not at Sidney, he tries his best to be understanding, as does Geordie. It's typical of time period but it still makes your blood boil. Then there is the last part of the book. Heartbreaking. I hope this isn't that last in series because I want to see more of the father/daughter relationship. #grantchester

📚Sidney & 📺Sidney have long since parted ways. Which is a shame cause 📚Sidney, really all the characters, are more complex than 📺counterparts. 📚Sidney is middle-aged but still the rebel young vicar at heart. Still loves his whisky & jazz but now listens to Pink Floyd as well. I love his heart, his compassion, his vow to change his Church for the better.
