These yellow classics are just about the only English books my bookstore in Haikou sells, and they're super cheap (around $3-4), so I have a bunch. I've only read the first 4 from the left, but I loved them all. @RealLifeReading #faveclassics #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge

Couldn't find any love for Thomas Hardy among the #faveclassics so I thought I better give the old fella a shout out.

#somethingforsept #septphotochallenge

BookishFeminist Tess of the d'Urbervilles was in my stack! I would have included Far from the Madding Crowd too if I could find it. Love Thomas Hardy. 8y
GuiltyFeat @MrBook love the hashtag. I might have to start using it too, if that's OK. 8y

Like so many others, one of my #FaveClassics is To Kill a Mockingbird. (There's about a 97% chance that I'll name my first son Atticus.) #SomethingForSept #SeptPhotoChallenge

Johanna414 I tried to name my son Atticus, hubby would have nothing to do with it... But my cats are Scout and Jem 8y

I love these three and also Jane Eyre. My Kindle is out of juice so I couldn't include it the pic. #classics #faveclassics #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge

LibrarianRyan When I talk about books that take a bit to get into, Gone with the wind is always my example. I read it as a Mass Market Paperback and it had over 1000 pages. I tell people the first 200 pages are the most boring thing I ever read. But the book was worth it. That was until I read New Moon with my book club. Even more birding and not with it. 8y
Bookzombie @LibrarianRyan I think Lonesome Dove and Stephen King's It are two that take a bit to get into also, but so worth it. I stopped reading the Twilight series after New Moon. 8y
LibrarianRyan @Bookzombie I ran a book club for adults that only read teen books and they insisted we read the entire series. The books got better but New Moon was the worse. 8y

ValerieAndBooks I have not read Atwood yet but the other three I've read many times! Good choices. 8y
Bookzombie @LibrarianRyan I might have finished them but someone told me how it ended and I just didn't feel invested. 8y

There are many books I could call my #faveclassics but these two were the first. I probably would never have picked up other favorites like North and South, Persuasion, Jane Eyre, Huck Finn, etc. if I hadn't been forced to read these two when I was in high school. #septphotochallenge
