My final #Booked2020 round up. I didn‘t finish all the prompts this year, but considering I didn‘t plan my reading very much, I‘m happy that I got as many as I did 🙌

Now I‘m ready for #Booked2021!

A fun, surprisingly sweet murder-mystery.

Joyce becomes part of ‘the gang‘, a group of retirement-home-residents invesigating cold-cases, who find themselves with a ‘live‘ murder (or 3) on their hands.

I loved the characters, their energy, enthusiasm & complexity, and even the side-characters had a story. And the relationships, particularly the inter-generational ones, were fab. The plot twisted suitably, tho I took issue with some plot points.

This book has been highly praised in Denmark, but it is VERY Danish - it mixes genres (poetry, vignettes, diary entries, medical journals), but it is done in a quite pretentious way, so I didn‘t get a lot of it. What did work, was the overall themes of motherhood, post partum depression, feminism and finding your way through it all.

I‘m trying this bizarre new thing. It involves only reading one book at a time. Well, two - one in print and one on audio, but close. Right now, it seems to be working!

Up next, 2 ARCs - I‘ve just realised that City of Tears is on the NetGalley app, so they‘ll probably archive it before I‘m done. That‘d be annoying

Then bookspin, double spin & an ARC - although maybe for my Monthly Forecast not my #WeeklyForecast (I‘m not going to get to them!)
