pickThis is such an important book, for abused kids, for trans kids, for kids in general - because let‘s be honest, people are constantly trying to just shut kids up and keep them from speaking truth to power. Of course that power and those who are power hungry are trying to silence this, too.

So, I had made a mistake on my #BookSpinBingo and actually, my #BookSpin book is a #BannedBook.
I did a quick Google and Libby search and found this one ready for download. Also needed a new #AudioCommute. So here it is. It's a super quick book. Probably finish it tomorrow on my commute to and from work.
pickThis is a great memoir. I feel such sadness for those of you out there who feel uncomfortable with presenting yourself as is. Some of the panels talked about not staying up for yourself because you didn't want to seem rude. Ugh! That speaks to me. Please all know #YouAreSafeWithMe and please #StandUp

In this thoughtful graphic novel, the author explores the experiences of a kid who sees themself as different and is struggling with the labels others are putting on them. The boy scout camp setting offers the perfect backdrop and brought back memories of when my son was immersed in the Scout community, luckily his seemed more inclusive than most. #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks #bookriotchallenge
Well Florida has finally lost it. It has banned over 1,600 books including several dictionaries. The reason for banning the dictionaries is because, they contain “Sexual Content”. The list of banned books is in the link below ⬇️ 📚📖

I swear, I did not stage this image or put TRANS-SISTER RADIO in this Little Free Library. I spotted it in Middlebury while walking Jesse, my beloved dog. This is one more reason why I love #Vermont: my most #bannedbook in a #littlefreelibrary .
Today‘s #bookhaul - the handbook is one of the books for my class on library services for teens (after a year long break because of surgery/Crohn‘s flare, I‘m finally getting back to my grad school program!), while the other is a #bannedbook that I‘ve been interested in

It feels like we're reading an unrealistic sci-fi book...
My mom and I went grocery shopping yesterday. We stocked up a bit in case there's some kind of chaos and we're forced to shelter in place...that sounds ridiculous...this just all feels unsettling.
Keep praying for our wild in the forests, waters, and sky.
