#WondrousWednesday
@Eggs (thanks for the tag! ... you, too, @TheSpineView! 😘💚😘)

1. Even if they don't like you or you don't like them, you still have to work together, so find a way! 😃
2. Retired dog mama. 😍
3. I'm happy with #2! I once wanted to be an astronomer until my first astronomy class where the professor said something like: “If you're here to look at the sky, you came to the wrong class. Physics first, people.“ Me: 🤔😳#dropclass😃

TieDyeDude 3. Ha! But sky so pretty! 9mo
dabbe @TieDyeDude Exactly! That's all I wanted to do. Physics? #nothanks 😂 9mo
ravenlee I took an astronomy class in college. The Monday class conflicted with a required rehearsal, so I took the Tuesday class. Friend in M class got to go “oh, stars so pretty!” while I had a Romanian professor teaching astrophysics nobody could understand (accent+material). Half the class dropped the first month, another quarter by midterm. I took it pass/fail and had to call my engineer brother every week to tutor me just so I could make a C to pass. 9mo

ravenlee And the two courses had the same course number and credit! 9mo
TheSpineView 😘🥰😊 9mo
dabbe @ravenlee Yowza! You're way stronger than me to have gutted it out. I lasted one class period! 🤩😂😍 9mo
ravenlee Thanks, but it was desperation more than dedication. There were very few core courses I could fit into my schedule, and it was too late to find/add something else. 9mo
dabbe @ravenlee You're still a trooper IMHO. 😍 9mo
Eggs Thanks for joining in 🙌🏻🩷👍🏼 9mo

Kitta What a way to dissuade people away from a fascinating topic! Even if it contains a lot of physics I‘d want to encourage people to do it not get them to drop the class. But honestly if presented with the topic that way I‘d probably have dropped it too. Not that I took astronomy, I took only biology courses because I was in the UK and the structure of degrees is different there, but still. Boo to that professor. The sky is so pretty! 9mo
dabbe @Kitta Your words made my day! This prof was known for his rather crusty demeanor, but still! Now I follow the skies whenever and however I want to. 🪐🪐🪐 9mo
