#deweys24readathon done! Total time read: 13 hours 24 mins. I fell short of my goal of 14 hours by a little, but I read more than my usual average of 12 hours, so I‘m satisfied. Audiobooks helped with reading more this time. I exceeded my goal of 600 pages by a little, and met my goal of finishing one book. I got about 3/4 through another as well. I know the Manson/Manson-like cult subject has been done to death (bad pun) but what really stands out is the coming of age aspect of this story. This book took me back to my 1970‘s childhood in California. Her descriptions of being a girl in that time and place are spot on. Cline wasn‘t even born until 1989. How did she get it so right? Amazing!

So far it‘s a bit Blair witch like and told through a mixed media format which I appreciate. Also unreliable narrators which makes things interesting.

Got caught up on the Lonesome Dove readalong. I‘m enjoying this story a lot. I‘m surprised by how little I know what‘s happening. I read the book in her go school (a lifetime ago). Plus my dad watches the movie monthly. #lonesomedove #readathon #Deweys24Readathon
