Friday night: a new book from @AmyG to read together, fresh tulips that my husband brought home, a gin&tonic made by husband, salt & vinegar chips ( best kind) and I think the snow has finally gone for good
This is a fun and surprising book, and I enjoyed the narrator as well.
What starts as a cozy library murder mystery quickly becomes a tale of demons, justice, and rude cats.
I love how the author made her story so many different levels, and the characters were very interesting.
4/5 read if you like cozy mysteries, Buffy, and/or books that take literary troupe in a whole different way than expected.

Hey @mcctrish Want to read this book this month???
The traditional magic British boarding school like you‘ve never seen it before—through the eyes of the highly competent, over-worked Director of Magic who has to keep a centuries-old campus and its reckless students safe from the demons her own power runs off. I loved seeing one of my all-time favorite tropes turned on its head, with a badass bisexual magician at the helm! Highly recommended for fans of the Scholomance trilogy & Magic for Liars.
A new graphic novel added to a library in our consortium…sure I‘ll give it a try. The hold comes in and woah, no clue what this was about or the graphic (erotic!) content. This is a witch-burning, demon nightmare/crossover into real life full of sex, murder, sinning and judgement in 1600s England. I appreciated the use of two styles of illustrations, from the two creators. It really added dimension to the work.
