Mehso-so

My #DoubleSpin for February was nice to read, but there were no mindset-shifting insights like I heard so many other readers have had. I did notice that there is another book with the same title but by Margaret Smith, and even the covers look similar so I wonder if I read the wrong book and everyone in the Minimalism community was raving about the other one? At least it's #OffMyShelf.

I will admit that I‘m not the person who this book is meant for as I‘m generally pretty good at keeping my house neat. That being said, I agree with her advice to start small like doing the dishes every day. I find her decluttering advice is more helpful so I like her other book just focused on that better. She does also get repetitive at times, which happens when you convert a blog to a book. Bonus pic is my boy Happy just loving the sun ☀️

An interesting look at decluttering. This takes a different approach to many other books of similar style and yet it's a method that could work. I liked the simplicity of it and can see myself using some of the tips featured in it especially the dishes as seen by my clear worktop. 3*

DogMomIrene She definitely keeps cleaning in good perspective. I‘m a perfectionist so shifting from the desire to have the perfectly cleaned home like it‘s a one and done kind of task to the more realistic view that cleaning is an ongoing task, everyday, was really helpful for me. 2mo
kezzlou85 @DogMomIrene she does we've just moved to a bigger house and it can feel overwhelming at times but this book helped put it back in perspective for me. 2mo
DogMomIrene @kezzlou85 If you want a refresh on her big ideas in another 6 months or year, check out . There‘s much less explanation of her ideas so it‘s less repetitive. It cuts to the point. 2mo
kezzlou85 @DogMomIrene thank you so much. I will check that out. 2mo

A thought provoking gentle look at the art of death cleaning. It's a clever idea and would benefit family members after a death. It's full of tips that could relate to any age group and has made me think more about what I have.

This was a really interesting and useful read. I could never be this minimal especially not with books and stationery but it did put me in the mood to reorganise my pantry and wardrobe. 5* #WinterGames2024 #HolidayBookDragons @LiseWorks

I Marie-Kondo‘ed by TBR-list. I went through every book and deleted all the ones that didn‘t make me want to read them. I‘m still at 130. But I am very excited about all of them.

My week has been complicated. Here are the five little wins this week:
1. Opened up my Etsy shop with blind book dates - working on the rebrand and getting the word out
2. Loving stickers on Kindle cover
3. Chloe Okoye being a weirdo and making me laugh
4. My son got a honey citrus mint tea for my cough

I found this book delightful and informative and I‘ll put what she said in good use in the near future. Will try not to accumulate too much stuff (already failed with books and clothes)…

An interesting read filled with useful tips and advice on how to declutter rather than organise your house. Her two step rule is clever and did get me thinking. 3*

AlaSkaat I‘d like to say my OCD has made me an expert at organising and decluttering. But then I remember that I threw out my bed, tv and clothes in one of my decluttering projects, so I‘d say maybe not. Lol. This could be interesting 4mo
nanuska_153 My partner would love if I read this, I do love stuff 😅 4mo
kezzlou85 @AlaSkaat it's quite helpful. It's a couple of basic steps that you can use for things. 4mo
kezzlou85 @nanuska_153 my husband is the hoarder but he still argues he might need it. 4mo
nanuska_153 @kezzlou85 for me is not that I might need it,they are not useful things,it's the personal attachment that I have to them: toys, books, leaflets, pretty stones from a holiday...The root of the problem is: his parents are hoarders;my mom donated lots of my most precious childhood possessions (even while I was a child), she even donated a book that my granny bought me after she passed away because it was for smaller kids.We are both overcompensating😅 4mo
