What a great comic can‘t wait to read Volume 2 🍽️

The story was all over the place and didn't actually feature much baseball, despite the promise of the cover, but this series about a cannibalistic detective is a lot of fun, if you can put up with the grossness!

Just finished Chew Vol. 4 it was a pretty good read solid 3 stars.
Continuing on with this awesome series staring Detective Chew, who gets psychic impressions from whatever he eats. Next one already on hold at the library! 🐔 #screamathon
Detective Chew gets psychic impressions from whatever he eats. Eating an apple might bring images of an orchard, what kind of pesticide was used. Eating bacon might bring images of slaughter. And being a detective brings the unique opportunity to eat...well...evidence. And bodies. Dead or alive.
This definitely puts the “graphic“ in “graphic novel“. How am I only hearing about this series now?!
#NCBD means that Wednesdays are always one of the best days of the week! Lots of good stuff today, both trades & single issues. If you‘re a fan of Victor LaValle you may want to check out Eve—his forays into comics are always fantastic. Love Strange Academy, of course, because it‘s Skottie Young! Chew makes my husband laugh every time he reads it which is spectacular (& very entertaining). I could go on but really, I‘m excited to read everything.
Sure it was 14 degrees and it was snowing, the wind blowing it in my face there and back, but it‘s Wednesday which means new comics and a walk to the comics shop this morning! Love #Ncbd! Especially when there‘s a new Darth Vader—Pak‘s writing is fabulous and this run is excellent. Excited to see what Radiant Black is all about. I picked up the tagged trade on a whim. Everything else is ongoing and sure to be entertaining.
This is another catch up post from last week. This continues to be a weird series where chicken is still banned and there are other weird food things going on. Also a classic rare animal dinner.
This is such a unique series, I've really been enjoying it!
