It took me a little to get used to Lift‘s narration in this in this shorter novel - which is the length of some normal novels - but once I was into it, I loved it. I‘m so interested to see how everything I‘ve learned in this book fits in with the series as a whole.
There was also a great Cosmere surprise in this one that made me literally gasp. I am having such a good time traveling through Brandon Sanderson‘s universe.

so-soAdding to my year-of-disappointing-books is this novella with an interesting concept. I was invested in the story and the characters until the end, which I found disappointing. I‘m not sure how it could have ended any other way and still made sense, but it felt both too tidy and like Sanderson was trying too hard to be clever.
pickI had so much fun unexpectedly binging this series! And I am absolutely ecstatic to learn that this isn‘t the end for these characters! This conclusion nicely ties together the books with multiple perspectives as they face the Superiority with allies by their side. It‘s a great listen and once again, I just couldn‘t stop! Owen was very happy about the extra long walks! I appreciate the descriptions of the illustrations but still want to see them!
