I was dreading this one but the second book wasn‘t that bad. Compared to the first, this one had more of the mystery that I look for in a cozy. There‘s a shift in the author‘s writing as the story is more focused on the mystery at hand. I‘m actually looking forward to the next one in the series.

Pick, pick, pick!!
I love the author and her writing. Her books are unforgettable and deserve the 5-star rating. This is the first book in the series and it didn‘t disappoint. There is tension, drama and a whole lot of mystery all happening in a bake shop. The best thing about this cozy series are the recipes in back. I can‘t wait to give them all a try.

This was a fairly quick and light read or rather listen (Idk the correct term 😬) and I love the cover! 😍The story, covering a bit of cozy style romance and mystery, albeit wasn‘t bad, dragged a bit for my taste.
However, this is the first book in the series so I won‘t completely bail it just yet. Here‘s hoping the next one is better. 🤞🏽😅

I finished this one while drinking a homemade maple latte. I know maple in summer? But hey, in Dubai we only have 2 seasons. It‘s either summer or winter (minus the snow) so I‘m guessing it‘s alright. 😂
