Kitta Oh yay! That‘s great I‘ll save it to my ravelry. 9h
Kitta Is the magic loop method hard? I usually use dpns but I don‘t have the right size right now. 9h
MaleficentBookDragon @Kitta I cannot used DPNs. I am not coordinated enough. I used to do magic loop but I tended to get laddering. I found a great alternative. I use FlexiFlips. They are the best of both. I use them for all small circumference knitting. https://youtu.be/IgzMgqT-2Qs 8h
Kitta @MaleficentBookDragon oooh I‘ll check those out! 7h
MaleficentBookDragon @Kitta they are not cheap but I love them. I‘ve also used HiyaHiya Flyers. The metal ones are SHARP, if you like sharper tips. If you get them let me know if you like them. They were a game changer for me. 5h

I also updated my world map for the end of the year. These are all the countries I‘ve visited through books in 2024. I‘m trying to get better at geography - hopefully I‘ve colored all the correct places! 😅

So I‘ve been keeping a log of what I have read since 1986. Just dates, titles , authors. No reviews , just noting rereads. What a long strange trip it‘s been.

tpixie That‘s awesome 🤩 2mo
dabbe 🤩🤩🤩 2mo
AmyG I have a list since 5/10/74. Isn‘t it wild when you go back to read it….see what you were reading back in the day? 2mo

Suet624 I was just updating my latest journal. Nothing glamorous but packed full of quotes since at least 2002. I moved so much before that time that I think I‘ve lost my earliest ones from the 70s. It‘s a treasure to have them. 2mo
AnnCrystal That's awesome, just began mine in 2023. 📚📔💝. 2mo
Hooked_on_books Mine goes back to the 80s as well, but I don‘t know the date, as I initially didn‘t track that. For years I had a 3 ring binder and loose leaf, as I tracked by author‘s last name and that way I could add pages wherever needed. I would take it with me to the used bookstore to make sure I didn‘t buy any I‘d already read. 😉 2mo
sisilia Wow this is wonderful 😍 2mo
Leftcoastzen @Suet624 I wish I had earlier ones , I used to think I would always remember! ha ha ha! 2mo
Leftcoastzen @AmyG wow ! I had better taste back then I think. I shunned popular stuff . 2mo
Leftcoastzen @Hooked_on_books good old system. I‘m keeping it up despite computerized ways to keep track. 2mo
AmyG Ha! I have better taste now. I read alot of garbage. 🤣 2mo

3.25⭐️

I always appreciate a good #truecrime on something that isn‘t murder. This one touched on book theft which was interesting to learn about. My favorite part was probably talking about initiatives the professional organization took to crack down on theft.

So it‘s been a while since I‘ve been on here but I‘m really hoping to get back to using this app. Here‘s a stack of some of the books I‘m currently reading. I think I‘ll be able to get the nonfiction finished today or tomorrow 🤞

Quote from a one-nan show called "Bibliomania" by Roger Rosenblatt. The quote was in a coffee table book on libraries.

In the spirit of Kramer's "coffee table book about coffee tables," here's a "library book about libraries."

5 stars!! This is my second time reading this…..books are kinda dated but it so accurately describes the slow descent into collecting that can happen. If you like books about books - you‘ll like this. Reminds me of 84,Charring Cross Road.

MaGoose I loved both the tagged book and 84 Charring Cross Road, too. 🤎 9mo
