Mini book haul of the day. Love Haruf's books--not much happens, but I can't put them down
Last night I pulled a book off my bookshelf to read. I opened it to go to the first page to see if I wanted to read it, in the inside cover I found...MONEY!!!!
After telling this story to one of my book groups and to my mom, it lead me to wonder...What is the craziest thing other people have found in their books?? Either something you put there or maybe you got the book from someone and found something they left behind. I would love to know!!!
I've become somewhat interested in collecting first editions of books. So, this nonfiction title was a good pick for me. It discusses what to look for as far as the condition of the book (mostly hardbacks, but also some paperbacks) and how to discern if it's a first edition. To a lesser extent, the book goes into how to judge if authors are collectable and/or have staying power. Enjoyable read for me.
Yikes I'm still getting birthday cards from the crazy loveable #litsylove group of friends!! Thank you so much @nelehelen for the card and cat and dog stickies. 😍💕👌👍
1. Mystery, lit classics, some nonfiction
2. Memoir
3. Romance
4. Don't watch movies or TV much, so no opinion
5. Hmm, I'm drawing a blank--maybe because I don't read much in genres I dislike. There's too much out there to read and too many books on my TBR list already
6. Little Women - hated it

Dollar Tree book haul!! 😊 I grabbed two Fates and Furies so i can share them! I always find surprise gems!
This is one of the reasons why I absolutely love old books! I opened one i bought and found a bunch of clovers, including a few four leaf clovers! ☘📚
Took my daughter and her friend to lunch followed by a trip to The Book Lady's Book Attic for some gently used book looking! $57 later.... (not pictured, two hard cover Ever After Ever books and a paperback Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle -- those went home with the friend)
