I keep forgetting to post my #BookSpinBingo card for this month, but here we are! I've got started on it. I didn't get a bingo last month, but did at least read the #BookSpin and #DoubleSpin books; I think that's my aim this month, and anything else is a great bonus. Moving has my brain veeeery distracted and scatterbrained.

#bookspin bittersweet to have finished this series, so wholesome! I really liked all the inter-species discussion, such a fun book!

it‘s been a few months since i put together a list for #bookspinbingo… even though i‘m getting a late start for the month, i‘m hoping it (plus the fun of spinning a wheel 😆) will help keep me focused on my recent goal of intentionally reading books i own 🤞🏻

#bookspin: christmas eve lost story
#doublespin: if for any reason

TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! Enjoy!! 20h

#bookspin is here (late) again! Last month was pretty terrible with reading due to work (as always) but I did go to a fun book-related conference! And brought home too many books. :/

Gissy I start every month so motivated that this will be the month that I could read more books…I wish… many errand to accomplish that consume my reading time😩(I know I‘m dramatic😂)What I do to feel better? Just like you…buy few books as emotional therapy📚😌🙌 2d

I learned so much from this little book. John Green does an excellent job of explaining the history of tuberculosis and the medical community's attempts to understand and combat the disease, as well as the socioeconomic realities that have kept the disease from being eradicated. It's a good balance of technical and personal and very readable. This was my July #Bookspin @TheAromaofBooks

It‘s been about a month since I‘ve finished a physical book. In July I‘m trying to read books I own, because I have too many books coming in and not reading enough of them!

I really liked this Emily Henry! I might like Funny Story a little more but this one might be my next fav. Set in Georgia. Alice is interviewing a socialite in her 80s about her past and all the drama. Some spicy scenes but not too many.

This was my #bookspin for July!

27% in & this has 5⭐️vibes for me!
if #Sedona means anything to you, you have to read this. Bryant nails the place like no other! vortex pulls, Red Rock Fever, local lore, strange residents.
This is such a trip for me as I live less than an hour away & visit Sedona frequently! 🏜️

Not my favorite of her memoirs. As it is a memoir of her family tribe there was just so much going on with all the various family members that the writing felt choppy. I did very much love the tribe living though; and if I could, I too would have my whole family within a six block radius.

46/80

Wearing the Lion | John Wiswell
post image

Another dark yet tender fantasy from Wiswell, for the lonely monster in all of us. Who might Heracles have been if being turned monstrous by a pissed-off, impulsive Hera had only made him more empathetic to others? Someone who wears the whole Nemean lion instead of its skin...

It's maybe a bit too long and repetitive, but overall a lovely rejection of toxic masculinity and an embrace of unconditional love and forgiveness.
