Today is September 1. I have approximately 124 days to read 36 books by the end of the year. I have wandered WAY off the path of my #litsyatoz and #betterworldbookchallenge

CareBear I think I need to bump this up my TBR. 7y
DragonSadhana @Yeah_I_Read I'm nervous and excited all at once! 7y
DragonSadhana @CareBear I waited this long because the third book is out August 16th. So far, it is tremendously good. 7y

Wow. Wow, wow, wow. This book is a beautifully written gothic tale about a boy and the strange mystery he uncovers about the author of his favorite book. While in pursuit of the truth, Daniel finds himself entangled in a story of tragedy, vengeance, redemption, and danger. #litsyreadingchallenge #rc15 #betterworldbookchallenge #translatedbook

LeeRHarry This is one of my faves, glad you enjoyed it 😊 7y
DragonSadhana @LeeRHarry I would have never have thought to read it if it weren't for these amazing book challenges! 7y
sprainedbrain One of my favorites, also! I read it last year for a challenge and absolutely loved it. ❤️ 7y
DragonSadhana @sprainedbrain Did you try the sequel? I need to read another book for the challenges, but next year I'm going to be reading the sequels to all these books I've read this year! 😂 7y
sprainedbrain @DragonSadhana I have the second and the third on my shelves... haven't read them yet though! 😳 7y

Started this, and I am loving it! Also planning a few of my own walks in the woods in the Colorado Rockies.

A #betterworldbookchallenge pick and an incredible coming of age story. I was really able to identify with the narrator and would recommend this book to any teenager!

This book taught me some things: 1. I don't care for page after page description of the finer bits of architecture. 2. I don't care for prolonged dialogue on church gossip, papal law and its interpretation, and who the pope's favorites are. 3. I like plot that moves along, but I hate when it gets disrupted by either 1 or 2.

thec0zy I felt exactly the same. It did not keep my interest at all. Props to you for finishing it! 8y
DragonSadhana @thec0zy I figured I couldn't be the only one! I did skim pages from time to time, particularly if they were 1 or 2. 😆 8y

This book is captivating. It's important. It is a well researched and significant contribution to the written histories of the US. I learned so many new things. I can't recommend this book enough! #migration #blacklivesmatter #ushistory #litsyreadingchallenge #readharder2017 #litsyreadingchallenge ##rc7 #betterworldbookchallenge #aboutmigration

RanaElizabeth Totally agree! And for a doorstopper of a non-fiction book, this was a very easy read. 8y
DragonSadhana @RanaElizabeth So true! I was surprised at its remarkable ease. 8y

This should be required reading for every American. I listened to the audiobook, but I'm buying a hard copy so I can go back and read and underline some very significant lines.

In the Woods | Tana French

I spent most of my day reading this. This is my first read of Tana French, and I must say I loved her writing! I don't think the ending was as satisfying as I'd like it to be, but overall, I can't hold it against her. Recommend if you enjoy a psychological thriller that's a bit on the cerebral side moreso than the creepy side. #betterworldbookchallenge #setinaplacetovisit #litsyreadingchallenge #rc6

mcipher Oooh, now try The Likeness!! It's my favorite if hers, and I've read them all. ☺️ 8y
DragonSadhana @mcipher I will! 😊 8y
BookDragonNotWorm All her books are SO good. One of my top authors. 8y

This was a YA romp through the Greek Underworld starring Persephone and Hades...who is in fact, also a woman. The storytelling is a little simplistic, but I'm all for portraying positive #lgbtq romances in this day and age. #betterworldbookchallenge #fairytale #readharder #readharder17 #lgbtqromance #rc18 #lgbtqrelationship
