#allthebooksof2017 : the #bestsequel was hands down this sequel to The Rook! It was fun, thrilling and just the right amount of weird. Everyone who loves fun quirky sci-fi will love this book.

DogEaredBooks @BookNAround I felt the same way. I got it the day it came out but waited to read it bc I was so worried! It‘s different from The Rook (mainly new protagonists) but it still had the charm, sass and weird that I enjoyed. After I got over being bummed it wasn‘t all Myfawny I loved it. 7y

A Court of Wings and Ruin | Sarah J. Maas

This was in no way a perfect book, and A Court of Mist and Fury was AMAZING and still my favorite of the series, but I adore this series so much, so I‘m marking this the #bestsequel I read this year for the first time. I will read anything set in this world, so I‘m happy she just keeps cranking them out! 💕 Close second: Crooked Kingdom in the Six of Crows series. #allthebooksof2017 #bestsequelyouread #ya #yafantasy

The only sequel I read this year is, by default, the best sequel I read this year! I'm just generally not a big fan of series, and I don't read many of them.
I enjoyed this one, but not as much as the first book in the series.

MarriedtoMrT I‘m not a series person, either! Sometimes it‘s really hard to avoid them, though. I try not to read anything that doesn‘t have a set number of books. Trilogies I can usually handle. 7y
