pickDani & Michael‘s tension and chemistry is perfection. I wanted them together so badly. The alternating perspective is exceptionally well executed. I enjoyed both their voices. This novel is emblematice of Harmon‘s ability to beautifully encompass a time, setting, and relationship.

I have to give this one #fourstars although I really feel like that 5th star probably could‘ve been achieved if I‘d read the book rather than listened to it. I listen to a lot of books but this one was a little hard to follow in audio form. I‘m tempted to give it some time and then go back and read it. #amyharmon

Amy Harmon sure has a way with words. The Bird and the Sword is beautifully written and quickly became one of my favorite reads last year. It has fantasy, love, battle, finding and loving oneself. I don't really categorize this book as fantasy..I see it more as romance that has fantasy in it.
