pickI started this in print but the book proved too heavy for bathtub reading so I switched to audio and I must say, give yourself this gift. Allow Babs to read her memoirs to you. Every song, every aside, it's just the best possible way to take in this story. Am I obsessed with Barbra Streisand? Yes. Does she deserve my adoration, undoubtedly so. She deserves yours as well.

My Aunt San passed on April 19, with my brother Tom & I at her side. She had critical congestive heart failure, which she downplayed for several weeks before it got the best of her. ⬇️

#WhatsNewWednesday…..I‘m only about 10% into this audiobook and loving it…what‘s new is, once again, I‘m experiencing book synchronicity…Barbra just mentioned I‘ll Cry Tomorrow…the memoir written by Lillian Roth. I didn‘t know she was in a play with her. I loved that book and read it about a year and a half ago.
pickAt 48hrs this is a longgg audiobook. I loved the first half; her childhood in Brooklyn in the 1950s, trying to make it on Broadway then working with Gene Kelly in big MGM musicals in the 60s. The second half was more of a slog. It‘s exhaustive and exhausting at times. Still… it‘s Barbra Streisand so what did I expect?! 😂
