Starting a new audio 🎧it‘s pretty much a standard amongst all NF readers and I‘m looking forward 🤓It also works for MANY prompts and challenges 😉#ReadingAsia2021 #Nepal #Pop21 #PopularBookFrom1990s #NonFiction21 #AboutNature #DoubleSpin

MittenGirlPeach It‘s such a fabulous book; the first time I read it I reread it immediately. Nonfiction that reads like fiction. 4y

Pickpick

Sometimes a bestselling book doesn‘t live up to the hype. For me, this one did. It‘s nuanced and meaningful, but I had a few issues with it. It‘s primarily a Bildungsroman. But Owens throws in elements of romance, adds a treatise on nature, plus a strong mystery and courtroom procedural. I‘m so glad my IRL book group chose it this month. I can‘t wait to discuss it!

BarbaraTheBibliophage @Crazeedi It was! We took a tour of the coastline near there. It was a great few hours in a boat! 6y

Cinfhen Oh, I‘m so nervous about trying this book... all the praises and it never really clicks with me the way I was hoping. I think I‘ll keep waiting 6y
Cathythoughts Lovely review ♥️👍🏻agree on all fronts !! I loved it 6y
batsy I fell in love with the descriptions of NC in this book. That coastal tour must have been amazing! 6y
LeeRHarry I loved this book, got it from the library and now to find one to own that doesn‘t have the Reese bookclub sticker on it - why?! 😫 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Cinfhen I hear you. It‘s that way for me with a lot of bestsellers also. Wait for the paperback or library book if that feels safer. 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Cathythoughts Thanks—glad you enjoyed it also! 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @batsy Yes, she was sending a love letter to the marsh. We loved the time we spent in Hilton Head. Now I want to go to the Outer Banks of NC or back to Hilton Head. 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @LeeRHarry Oh I know ... branding isn‘t always better. 😰 6y
jillrhudy When I first became a librarian the #1 bestsellers as a whole were of far inferior quality than they are now. A hopeful sign! 6y
Crazeedi @Cinfhen I feel exactly like you, i dont want to be disappointed 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @jillrhudy Thanks for the long view—it‘s good to be hopeful! 6y
