Erinsuereads Literally Rochester is the most insufferable human. Let's send him up to the attic for chomping 2y
BarkingMadRead @ErinSueMreads I just cackled in the middle of Panera 🤣🤣🤣 🦷🦷🦷 2y

Erinsuereads My work here is done 👏 2y
AnnR @ErinSueMreads - Sooooo funny. Rochester is getting on my nerves. Why he is considered to be a 'romantic hero' is beyond me. Poor Jane. 2y
rubyslippersreads @ErinSueMreads 😂😂😂 2y
eeclayton @ErinSueMreads @Ann_Reads I agree. I don't remember being so annoyed by Mr R when I first read the book, but perhaps I was more focused on the mystery. Now that I know what is happening I can't understand what Jane sees in him. 2y
i.besteph @ErinSueMreads 🤣👏🏽👏🏽 @Ann_Reads I agree! He won‘t stop talking in metaphors and it‘s taking a toll on me 🤣🤦🏽♀️ (edited) 2y
Clare-Dragonfly ROCHESTER. STFU. 2y
Clare-Dragonfly And by that I mean either leave Jane alone or tell her what‘s going on. You could have woken Mrs. Fairfax or any of the servants, because they know the deal, but NO, you just had to drag Jane into it. Ass. 2y
BarkingMadRead @Clare-Dragonfly 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 2y
Bookwormjillk When a man doesn‘t let you talk to the bleeding guy in his bedroom and has you help administer unknown Italian drugs 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 2y
lauraisntwilder @Bookwormjillk Oh my word, yes. This man is a series of red flags. 2y
Erinsuereads @Bookwormjillk but she lurrrrvvvvsssss him! 2y
nanuska_153 @Bookwormjillk 😂😂😂 2y
nanuska_153 @eeclayton same! I don't remember him annoying me so much when I first read it, but his rambles, his playing games with Jane of hinting he loves her and then talking about marrying another woman, or make her watch while he is flirting with another woman. Now I think, what a dramatic teenager I must have been to think that twat is romantic 😖🙈 I'm so annoyed with past me, is this what a literary exboyfriend feels like? 2y
BarkingMadRead @nanuska_153 🤣🤣🤣 2y
eeclayton @nanuska_153 At least you can blame it on your teenage self, but I read it first in my early thirties 🤪 2y
nanuska_153 @eeclayton ?? I wonder...maybe he suddenly becomes less of a weirdo and makes us forget the first-half-of-the-book Rochester. Although I remember the resolution of the mystery and that suggest he only becomes more weird...like "Netflix has decided to make a docu-series on him" level of weird 2y
SarahBookInterrupted I‘m so glad that it isn‘t just me. I read two chapters last night and was shocked that he implied he loved and clearly trusts Jane above anyone else, then talks about marrying another women. Why didn‘t you call Miss Ingram to the attic in the middle of the night with the bleeding man! What a jerk. 2y
