#12BooksOf2024 #May
I have read two books by Kim Hooper this year and loved both. Cherry Blossoms is in my #Top24of24 but this one is so good too. And sad. If you haven‘t read Kim Hooper yet, you should! She is so good!

#WeeklyFavorites
All my books were strange and good this week, love that. This one is my favorite though, I even added it to my #Top24of24 list!
Iōunn‘s story pulled me in from the first page and didn‘t let go until I finished it some hours later.
Iōunn wakes up exhausted every morning. She has no idea what causes this until her fancy new pedometer watch reveals that she‘s walking over forty thousand steps at night. From there things start spiraling in her life which seems so ordinary but isn‘t.
I am not sure about the ending but I loved this contemporary and atmospheric creepy story.
#12BooksOf2024 #January
I‘ll try to use some other books than the ones I used for my #Top24Of24 when posting my monthly favorites during #12DaysOfChristmas.
I had to repost this one again though for January. So poignant. So much said in just a little book.
#top24of24 I feel like I‘ve been on a streak of really good books this year - lots of 4.5/5 star reads.
Pic collage will only let me add 20 pics. But here‘s my #Top24of24
The other four are:
You could make this place beautiful by Maggie Smith
Britney‘s memoir
All the colours of the dark
And The Christmas Guest by Peter Swanson
#top24of24
Here are my favourites of this year - probably quite similar to a lot of other Littens‘ lists! 🤪 There‘s a fair few from prize lists and, of course, many recommended (or even gifted) by Litsy friends.
I think the top 17/18 were easy but there were a few vying for those last few spots. Those that just missed out included Lula Dean, The Wedding People, Wolf at the Table, The Collected Regrets of Clover and Notes on an Execution.
#Top24of24 + 1!
I love deep thoughts of contemporary lit, and I love interesting themes given wit and care. Make me laugh, make me cry, be silly, #FoundFamily #ExquisiteWriting, daring and considerate treatment of the human condition.
This is my #top24of24! I was a bit stingier with the 5⭐️ this year, and only 8 received that (upper left quadrant plus Dead Bastards and Cue the Sun in bottom right). The rest are 4.75⭐️ and 4.5⭐️. Nine of these are nonfiction, which is about normal and pretty close to my reading NF/F split. Can‘t wait to see even more of these as the year winds up! 👏🏻📚
