#TheCoupleNextDoor totally reminded me of Madeleine McCain case. A couple goes to dinner next door leaving their 6 months old daughter behind while she is asleep. They take rounds coming back home and making sure she is alright. And then she is not. She is kidnapped. What happens next is a lot of twists and turns. It keeps you glued to the book till the end. A good mystery read.

This book definitely kept me on my toes, but it was quite boring. I spent 2 months trying to get through this book but I found that it was difficult to sit and read it for more than a couple chapters. All in all, I would recommend this book because the plot was good and the mystery kept me flipping the pages, even though some parts were repetitive and somewhat boring. 📚📖 #thecouplenextdoor #mystery #pageturner

It was ok for a short summer read. The beginning and the plot are not bad. But it got really repetitive after 250 pages 🙄😏. The last few pages are ok again I think. Nothing special about writing style and language. Short sentences, investigation style.

I was not prepared for this book. I've been eyeing it up for a while but never read the blurb so didn't realise it was about a child abduction 🙈

I think it's been done really well, I didn't have the impending doom feeling all the way through, lots of twists and turns and a real page turner! Not sure about the last 3 pages though...

A very readable, decent thriller about a couple who's baby is kidnapped after being left alone in the house next door. Gripping, honest and twisted but unfortunately the writing style and conveniences towards the end knock a few stars off this one. I'm giving Shari Lapena's "The Couple Next Door" 3 stars.
