Very dense. I took it on because I found it amongst my late father's collection, & my love for him was so intense & reverential that I just had to read it. But honestly, I had a very difficult time slogging through it. Again, as with other comments I've made, if I can't understand & enjoy a classic, there's something wrong with me, not the work.

plemmdog I saw it for the first time recently at a pandemic drive-in. It provoked a lot of discussion about the roles of women and nature (I also didn‘t realize it‘s based on a Daphne du Maurier story). I still can‘t believe Jessica Tandy played the widow (Driving Miss Daisy!) 4y

Anyone else not a fan of birds? These swooping beaked terrors have been responsible for causing an irrational fear inside me since I was a kid. I think it started from the days of AquaNet and fearing the flapping monstrosities would get caught in my hair. Yet I can never pass up on this movie!
