1. The forest had become a labyrinth of snow and ice.
2. Everything in the house shown as the sun streamed in through the long French windows.
3. My mother drove me to the airport with the windows rolled down.
4. The sound of the birds outside was muffled by the heavy brocade curtains of Henderson Manor as Olivia Henderson pushed aside a lock of dark hair and continued her careful inventory of her father's china.

💚Audrey. I've always liked that name and use it sometimes for games or something so I don't have to use my real one.
💚💚 Tagged. One of my favorite DS books about a woman (named Audrey) in the early 1900's, who doesn't fit the mold of a 'typical' woman and yearns to travel the world.

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

One of my favorite Steel books, set around the time of WWI, Oliva and Victoria Henderson are identical twins, with very different personalities and desires. One fateful decision in their 21st year, changes the course of both their lives.

Born.A.Reader I have 3 or 4 Steel favorites and they were all written in the 80s, back when her books had historical substance and weren't ghost written. I like her books now, but mostly I consider them a pallet cleanser, as they're vastly different from her earlier works. 7mo
Eggs I‘ve really liked quite a few of them but I‘m fairly new to Steel. Many are meh. Thanks for the tip about the 80s ones. 7mo

Pickpick

3.6⭐️ ok, I‘m still not the biggest D.S. Fan, but I get why my mother liked this one so much. It was good, and much better than the one I read last year by her. #Friendspickforme

I will be doing the #FriendsPickForMe challenge again this year. My mom was willing to give me a book to start off for January… And of course it‘s Danielle Steel 😮‍💨. What can I say… She likes what she likes! I‘m also doing a classic countdown challenge where I take one of my top 12 classic literature TBR to read each month. 📚Would love to hear about which classics you would use📖

Roary47 I‘ve been working on my classics as well. Two short ones are Of Mice and Men (lots of triggers), and The Old man and the Sea. If you like dystopian like you know I do 1984 or Brave New World are my picks, but my favorite classic is wuthering heights. 🥰 11mo
Ruthiella There are so many classics I‘ve yet to read! Of the authors I have read, my favorites are Charles Dickens and Anthony Trollope. 11mo
BookwormAHN I'm planning something similar. I have some Jane Austin and Jules Verne up in January and February. 11mo

Littlewolf1 @Roary47 are both on my list. You‘re the one that act gave me the idea to do the classics. So I‘m gonna to pick 12 each year and see about getting them read. (edited) 11mo
Littlewolf1 @Ruthiella I have never read Anthony Trollope but is on my list this year 11mo
Littlewolf1 @BookwormAHN oh, Jane Austen is my favorite… I‘ve read a lot of hers, but Emma is on my list this year 11mo
