Mehso-so

At first, I enjoyed Blair's sassy attitude, but after a while the flirting aka bickering between the two MCs began to get on my nerves. It could be because my husband and I are both super chill so I've never understood the “arguing as foreplay“ concept lol The mystery aspect didn't make a lot of sense either, which meant the entire plot began to drag around 2/3 through. It was an okay read, but one of those that I enjoyed less as I went along.

willaful Nothing will put me husband in a less romantic mood than arguing. I will never experience angry sex. 😂 14h
TheAromaofBooks @willaful - Literally he would be like “stop“ and she would be “make me“. Every time he would tell her to do something (because he's a cop and SOMEONE IS TRYING TO KILL HER) she would just do the opposite and he would find it soooo sexy 🙄 After a while all the power-wrestling began to wear on me because that is just not how things roll around here 😂 Like you, if we're having a bicker, I do NOT expect it to be followed up with sexy times 😆 11h

Finishing up Still See You Everywhere, but already know it‘s the best read of the past week!😆📖 #weeklyfavorites @Read4life

Read4life It‘s on my TBR. I usually read these as soon as they‘re released but I just haven‘t gotten to this one yet. 6d

Here‘re this year‘s Canada Reads panelists and their selections, for anyone who missed them! For the first time ever, I lucked out; I‘ve already read three of the finalists (the tagged book, A TWO-SPIRIT JOURNEY, and DANDELION; I‘d rank them in that order), and the other two ( ETTA AND OTTO AND RUSSELL AND JAMES and JENNIE‘S BOY) came in for me last week. I‘ll definitely get everything read by the time the debates start on March 17!

Decided to go with the tagged book for #Roll100 @PuddleJumper

No. 60 was something that looked good in a secondhand bookstore.
No. 42 is on a romance list that I have yet to get to.
No. 82 is a chunky boi...I've seen the newer film made of it-do want to get to the book. Just not after another chunky book.

PuddleJumper You have to pace yourself with the chunky books 1w

There are a couple of domestic thrillers on the Canada Reads Longlist, so I figure there‘s a good chance one of the panelists wants to bring the genre to the table this year. Even if WATCH OUT FOR HER doesn‘t make the cut, I won‘t regret reading it. It‘s creepy as shit! I‘ve got so many theories already and I can‘t wait to see how everything comes together.
