Day 2 of #RomBkLove -Space romance
I think the first romances I read with aliens was Gena Showalter‘s Alien Huntress series. Those mostly take place on a future earth though. Other favorites are Jessie Mihalik‘s Consortium Rebellion, Erstwhile by H. E. Trent, and all Ruby Dixon. I LOVE the Sirantha Jax series by Ann Aguirre, but it is more science fiction than romance. Also Heat and The Last Hour of Gann both by R. Lee Smith.

I like to re-read parts of my ultimate favorites when I need comfort. That includes the tagged book, Master of Crows by Grace Draven, and Demon Bound by Meljean Brook. #romantsy

How fun! This book/author came up a lot during #rombklove so I decided to check it out. I've never been super into Sherlock so I don't have comparisons to make, but I think this version is delightful and feminist and socially aware. I'm going to read book 2 very soon.

I've never read Sherry Thomas before, any recs for her romance novels? I'm all ears.

May was a rough reading month. I just didn‘t have the emotional energy or attention span. I think I finished two books and a graphic novel. I had trouble engaging with Litsy as well. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Anyway, here is the awesome Jane Austen cover puzzle I finished about a month ago. Posting it on the Jane Austen swap open day seems fitting. I finally took it down a week or so ago. I had a hard time choosing which covers were my favorite. So many pretties!

Day 10: Old School

I read Julie Garwood‘s The Wedding as a young teen and it has stuck with me. I still love rereading it. (I thought I owned it but it must‘ve been on my non-kindle reader because I can‘t find it 😭)

I found Johanna Lindsey in my 20s but prefer her older titles. I know for many there is some questionable content but, what can I say, I still love them. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Defy Not The Heart is a favorite.

Day 10: Royalty

Not actual royalty but rich-boy nonsense royalty. Typically I avoid the OTT dramarama books but every once-in-awhile I‘m in the mood and this book definitely fit the bill.

Day 8: Road Trip

I saved Going Nowhere Fast for this category (I could use it for SO many categories I love it so much) but then I also remembered Ride With Me. I haven‘t been too into Ruthie‘s latest but I loved Ride With Me about a cross-country bike trip and a hero with lots of metaphorical baggage.

I really love all books about road trips so please let me know if you have any recommendations!

Day 7: Cowboys

The first to come to mind was After We Fall, which is awesome so I included it even though I realized he is more of a farmer than a cowboy. Then I remember Tanner and he is an honest-to-goodness cowboy. He rides the rodeo circuit AND owns a ranch AND is both sweet and gruff. *swoon*

Day 6: Auto-Buy

I‘m a pretty moody reader so I never thought I would say I have an auto-buy author. Even my favorite authors write books that just don‘t appeal to me. But I will auto-buy Julianna Keyes. I think she‘s an underrated and under-read contemporary romance author and I‘ll buy her books, even ones I‘m iffy on, so she will keep writing!

This week has been LONG and tiring. My husband‘s been out of town all week (just got back today) and our library had a levy on the ballot which meant a day at the polls for me (it passed! Yay!)

Now I hope to catch up on #RomBkLove posts so sorry in advance if I post a lot! 😬
