A bit of a nail biter. Noah purchased the abandoned church on eBay with the hope of restoring it and the congregation. Realizing he bit off more than he can chew he looks for an assistant (ex bar dancer) whose ex has stolen her children. As they work to get her children back and restore the church, they fall for each other.
Ok…now this may be my new favorite in the Virgin River series…the story of Abby and Cam. To my relief, it turns out I was right about the ex‘s attorneys. The story of Rick and Liz nearly broke my heart. So, yeah, a page turner even for a romance.
I think this is my favorite so far in The Virgin River series. Shelby‘s mom died and she is deciding her next steps in life while she visits Uncle Walt and his family. Immediately she meets Luke, an ex Black Hawk pilot, and the sparks begin to fly. Of course we‘re kept updated with the lives of the rest of the village.

This book focuses on the love between Paul and Vanessa. It drags in the beginning, but once it picks up speed it takes you with it. Jack & Mel have some harrowing moments too.
I prefer the books to the tv show (there is a little too much drama in the show for my liking) but both are still enjoyable

Cheesy but sweet, this book follows a very predictable plot of big city girl (Mel) heads to a tiny town to be its midwife and falls in love. Add in some grief because she is a young widow and you‘ve got the story. I liked the supporting cast members, the cook/fellow ex-marine at the restaurant, the old curmudgeon doctor, the new friends she makes in the community, etc. Definitely entertaining though I don‘t think I‘ll continue the series.
I think it‘s amazing that Jack can deliver a baby because the experience he received in one of the last books I read in this series.
