Tonight I felt like I needed some healing, sometimes our inner child needs it: Give it the attention it deserves when no one back then recognized it‘s pain.

This was exactly what I needed. I'm a night owl who works 12:30pm-9:30pm the majority of the year. But I'm trying to change my ways and become more of a morning person to take advantage of those extra hours in the a.m. This book contains several interviews with different successful people about their routines. The gist is, what works for some doesn't work for all, but find a routine that works for you and be consistent. Very inspiring 🎧🧩

My reading space full of of pillows & blankets to keep me cozy & warm. Reading the green book(tagged)on my table along with chocolate & wine. Exploring this poetry book was soothing. These shared reads are so comforting.

Bailedbailed

Even after more years with ME/CFS than I‘d like to count I still find truly doing nothing extremely difficult. I was hoping this would focus on why that is and how to subvert our desire to be constantly engaged or distracted, but with the addition of the word Dutch thrown in a lot this says exactly what every pop psych article online does about slowing down and letting your mind drift, so I only managed to skim half of it before I bailed.

Enjoyed the mix of personal history and non fiction. Really enjoyed the analysis of how different cultures approach sadness (US ain't doing it best) and the different types of sadness. Cool realizing how every emotion makes life fuller.

Thanks for the tags, @TheSpineView and @Eggs! 🖤🧡🖤
1. I had to have coffee before I could answer! 🤩 I do not believe that if you just think positive thoughts of what you desire, those things will happen. You can be as positive as you want, but it's the WORK involved that will get you there. Maybe being positive will make the work more bearable, but it's still work.
2. The tagged book.

TheSpineView You're welcome and thanks for playing! 14mo

Not a good self help book, which it is now it is classified. But it is a pretty good memoir.
