#nonfiction2023. My usual goal is one nonfiction per month. Crushed it! I have a couple “slow but steady” reads that have turned into just slow. So my goal this year is to finish a couple nonfiction chunksters. And that‘s it. #nonfiction24

Definitely one of my favorite books of the year. This book was had so many facets. Insurance coverage in the US, disability coverage, medical care. Chung discusses the health outcomes of both her parents & their subsequent passing. There were several aspects of her story that I definitely related to. My FIL had several types of cancer & he had been sick as long as my husband & I had been together. When my husband was offered a post doctoral

#nonfiction2023 is complete! Thank you @Riveted_Reader_Melissa for the fun prompts. This is the most nonfiction I‘ve read in a year and I‘m very proud of this fact.

I‘m glad this book exists and I hope it gets to be widely read. Sarah writes about childism with knowledge & passion but it‘s a very accessible read. Why are children still treated so poorly despite increasing research into child development etc? There‘s chapters on neoliberalism & how this impacts the school system, politics, reasons why people choose to ignore childism, discipline & lots more. It made me mad reading it but also more informed.
