An in depth examination of what shame is and how it is weaponized, especially against women.

This was a powerful read. I don‘t think I‘ve ever really come to terms with the things I feel shame about, the things I don‘t actually have my control over. All of the stories shared show that none of us alone, that there is community to find & create to support each other. & I always love a book that gives me more books to read.

BookmarkTavern This deals with some tough topics like abortion, post partum depression, suicidal thoughts, and sexual abuse. 3w

Virginia Woolf & her sister Vanessa Bell find themselves involved w/ danger, when a charming archaeologist is found murdered. W/ a mysterious fiancée, a jealous friend, & an ambitious coworker, the number of suspects just keeps rising.

A fun start to a new series! Excellent historic setting, unique voices for all the POVs, & a twisty mystery that kept me guessing to the end. I would have liked this better if the MCs weren‘t real people.?????

It‘s Christmastime! Molly is excited to spend it w/ her mother & her aunt in their historic bookshop. The holidays become much more dire when someone attempts to murder her friend.

The relationships in these stories continue to be my favorite thing! Seeing these women supporting each other, inter generational friendships is lovely. The pacing was a little off, but the mystery kept me guessing, & I loved the subplot of the treasure hunt.🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑

Almost as long as there has been a Batman and a Robin, there has been a Batgirl.

I haven't been into comics since my college years, but I remember loving Batgirl & her various stories. This in depth look at all the iterations of such a powerful icon makes me want to return to the comics I loved. Yes, there were some bad runs. There were writers & artists who only saw her as a prop to Batman and Robin's stories, but she perseveres. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

Orpheus created the machines his best friend used to take over the world. When that gets him exiled, & he sees the damage he‘s wrought, he chooses to do what he can to repair the world.

This was a fascinating mix of post apocalyptic, science fiction, & fantasy! There‘s some really great world building & some interesting characters, but everything ended up feeling rushed, especially the romance, & the ending was too abrupt.🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑

Magical artifacts are going missing, & the bodies start dropping. Velma‘s detective work for the Muses is put to the rest when she has to chase down a mysterious organization w/ plans for destruction.

A return to the world of The Conductors & I couldn‘t be happier! Glover‘s historical work is wonderful. It‘s fascinating to see the evolution of the magic, bad ass lady pilots, a mystery, a road (plane) trip, & a surprise little romance! 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

In an effort to break free from her parents, Saraswati joins the galaxy wide show Interstellar Megachef. Things get complicated when she gets swept up in a programmer‘s dream of simulated food.

This really shouldn‘t have been marketed as Masterchef in space. The show takes place over less than 10%. There are some interesting discussions of simulation & manipulating the brain, & what food really means, but this tried to do too much.🌕🌕🌕🌑🌑

ChaoticMissAdventures what a bummer the premise sounds so promising. ✅ 2mo
