This was a fun listen. It follows the life of Jenny, a thirty-something Northerner living in London, as her life falls apart around her. Jenny is obsessed with social media, and its hashtags, likes and follows.

I don‘t do social media (other than Litsy of course!) so it simultaneously felt rather absurd, but also very realistic.

I also liked the narrator, with a proper Northern accent!

Cinfhen I‘ve seen this available on #Scribd maybe I‘ll try it 😌 4y
squirrelbrain Yes, give it a go Cindy @Cinfhen - she‘s so irritating but rather sweet too! 4y

A well written story but like 'rabbit' there's only so much male middle age moans i can take so on to summer with #MCwhowhines.

Cinfhen Great review!! I‘m not sure this book would even be published in this day & age. Whiny white men aren‘t much of selling point😜I‘ve yet to read Ford but I hear he‘s a good writer. 4y
BarbaraTheBibliophage Whiny MCs are such a challenge ... great job! 👊🏻📚♥️ 4y
lynneamch Always enjoy reading about Detroit; I grew up nearby. Here's another 4y

Anna40 Funny. I just finished Wildlife by Ford, a book/author I discovered browsing in the library and was looking for other books by him. Your review doesn't make it sound appealing but apparently it's the prequel to Independence Day which is said to be his best novel... if I find it in the library I'll give it a try despite your review :) 4y
andrew61 @Anna40 no i would recommend it Anna, and i have also got independence day somewhere so will definitely read it as some point. I didn't find frank bascombe a particularly likeable character but it is certainly well written. 4y
Anna40 @andrew61 Sorry, Andrew. I made your review sound negative when it isn't. I guess what I wanted to say is: whining men doesn't sound appealing 😁 4y
andrew61 @Anna40 no need, didn't get that impresion ☺ 4y

Bk4 of April & Bk1 of my #EasterExtravaganza #readathon is done. This is set in the same universe as her Ancillary series(which I loved!) pretty much immediately after the last book in that trilogy. While it wasn‘t quite up to the brilliance of that series, it was still a good solid SciFi adventure, though the MC did cry way too much for my liking. But she‘s perfect for the #Booked2020 prompt of #MCWhoWhines👍 Oh it‘s also 438pages done of 2,000.

Cinfhen Well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 5y
Andrew65 Well done 👏👏👏 Also doing well on the pages. (edited) 5y
