Sad to see my beach weekend end but I totally enjoyed my time away and reading on the beach. I'm finally reading The Sandman for Graphic Novel book club and I have to admit it's crazier than I expected.

The Mysteries of Udolpho | Ann Radcliffe

so-so

For #PrinceOfJuly #letsgocrazy I immediately thought of this book - in true gothic style, the main character is unsure if she is going crazy, or being driven to desperation by her supposed caretakers, or if something more sinister is occurring. I didn‘t like this one quite as much as I have others in the genre, but it was still pretty creepy, like this old picture of my cat in our previous apartment! @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @vkois88

Nellie Bly decided, "Hey, #LetsGoCrazy " so she could get an undercover view of the conditions at an insane asylum. She then proceeded to expose them and open society's eyes to how the mentally ill are truly treated in a place meant to help. It was ground breaking material. This one is high up on my TBR, I just have yet to find a copy. #PrinceofJuly @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

#LetsGoCrazy and clean the craft room. It's not too hot. 😰

This is across the wall way from the library. Yes those are giant holes in the floor from the wiring project. They have temporary covers. Once dad fills them I can start painting. I have a few holes in the library floor as well but they are small and on the edges.

LibrarianRyan @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks yes. Actually there are 2. The other is next to. Technically it's 4 sections of a behemoth of a card catalog. It originally had 40 sections. It took up most of the floor. When I took over as director we sold it off in pieces. Plus every staff member could have 2 pieces. When all together it was over 5 feet tall and the size of 3 library tables pushed together. 6y
