My exciting post office plans for yesterday were derailed by Presidents Day (which, incidentally, used to be much more fun when we had a good one of those)...

But I got to the post office first thing this morning and my #BlitsyHistoryMonth #BHMswap is on its way east and should arrive on Thursday. 🎉

I was blown away by this novel: fantastic writing, wonderful character development, a thought-provoking and tragic storyline, and amazing imagery throughout. It‘s equal parts beautiful and brutal, heartbreaking yet optimistic. Definitely not for those that have need of trigger warnings, but a truly great book.

Well, there‘s 10 minutes to midnight and my reading year is done. I ventured into the delightful world of contemporary romance, I read some kickass fantasy and some truly great literature.
