Pickpick

Geronimo is at work one day when he notices that the environment seems off, pigeons are woozy, seagulls feathers are slick with oil and everyone is suffering from allergies. All of a sudden, Geronimo's friend who happens to be a secret scientist calls him and tells him that if Geronimo and his family don't go back in time, the environment will not be able to be reversed.

Aidan_Jovanovic Geronimo agrees and they go to Napoleon's court in France, by mistake, and Geronimo has to save his own tail from being cut off. After that, Geronimo's mischievous cousin Trap sends them to the era of the Vikings. Geronimo helps unite two villages and avoids a colossal war. After, they go to the time of King Solomon and find the true secret to saving the environment. 4y
Aidan_Jovanovic This book is in First Person view, as Geronimo is the one talking. This view helps emphasize the point that Geronimo was actually there and the whole story wasn't a complete and utter hoax. It also gives us insight on what Geronimo was thinking, which helps convey the story. 4y
MissYaremcio Nicely done Aidan! What a throw back! Such a nice pleasure read! 6/6 4y

When I choose to read this book, I was afraid it was going to be 4 sappy love stories. It was not that at all. Instead, it showed the complexities and nuances of 4 of Solomon‘s wives and the impact each had on him. I especially loved the tie-ins to the book of Ecclesiastes. This book, at its heart, is not a love story, but a journey about wisdom. I highly recommend it.

Loved this book. I enjoyed the differing perspective of each of the wives. The story moved quickly and kept you wanting more.

I wholeheartedly feel that The Heart of a King is a novel that must be experienced. It‘s deep, raw, and honest. It holds a mirror up to its readers and gets us to look deep into our hearts. It‘s exactly what Biblical fiction should be!

I loved learning more about King Solomon and four of his many wives. This book focuses on how those four wives may have felt before, during, and after marrying the King. We can only imagine what feelings they may have had in such a situation but I felt like Jill portrayed them very well.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.
