pickI finally finished the #julyisstrange readathon.
I ended up quite liking the story but annoyingly everything happens in the last 20% of the book so it's a chore to get to that part. In saying that, I feel like it needs to be that way to really understand the story.
Me: I'm going to go catch up on Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell.
Husband: Okay! Have you seen the cat anywhere?
Me: No, I'll check the bedroom.

I am so proud and so full of literary happiness thanks to those who joined my #JulyIsStrange read-a-long! I am so thankful to every single Litten. While we technically end Monday, many have already finished or will be finishing this novel tomorrow. I cannot say thank you enough and I hope you'll join me for my #ImpossibleRead read-a-long in October.
pickCan't believe I'm finished with this behemoth! I definitely don't think I would have liked it so much if I hadn't read it in ~30 page chunks, the pace was slow and it's just so long. But I really liked the way it came together in the end. A satisfying read overall. Cheers to everyone who did #JulyIsStrange and to @BrainyHeroine for organizing! 👏👏
so-soI did it! I am so happy for #JulyisStrange because there were so many points I normally would have bailed. It's an interesting book but not what I want in fantasy books.

I didn't make the full 24, but I did about 70 more minutes than my first #24in48 last summer! I read one novel, one audiobook, two graphic novels, kept up with #JulyIsStrange, got halfway through a new audiobook and am 20 pages away from finishing the longer book I was already in the middle of. Feeling proud! Well done all! 😊👏😊👏
