Oh gosh, just steamed through this tale of a activist student and a goodie two shoes who accidentally team up to draw attention to some issues in the school and maybe, oops, fall in love on the process.

I listened to this whole YA queer romance today while I was packing boxes in the kids‘ rooms (the big move is next week!).

It was super cute, and I love how the girls smashed the patriarchy at their posh private school (and how racism was called out as well).

Plus Australian accents on audio! 😍 #pridemonth #queerfiction

CarolynM I loved this one🙂 Glad you enjoyed it too. 4y

I loved Benjamin Hoff's short introduction/biography of Opal Whiteley. Wow! How this child's / young woman's talent, voice and brilliant mind were squelched by her environment and the time is horrific. Who knows what she could have become if she had lived today. Her diary is extraordinary, but not for me. Still, a beautiful book that should be read.

Anyone else listen to Revisionist History? This week's episode talks about Howard Hughes and the great hoax ALMOST pulled off by Clifford Irving. To say the amount of twists is substantial in this episode is doing this story a disservice. A must listen. #MalcolmGladwell

Readable, entertaining and frequently hilarious. Why do they do it? For the hell of it, often. And for money, of course. And often simply because they can.

Romantic comedies aren‘t my usual fare, yet I thoroughly enjoyed this Australian YA novel set in an exclusive high school in Sydney. An unlikely pair of lesbian teens use pranks to battle sexual harassment, homophobia and racism at their school, under the guise of a fabricated student. Alternating voices in the storyline are read by two #audiobook narrators. Uplifting #LGBTQ #YA #OzAuthor

Lindy @CarolynM I kept putting off reading this on account of the American cover (the hot pink one). I find the Australian cover (with the school hats seen from above) more appealing: 4y
Lindy @batsy The pranks have a more varied social conscience in Amelia Westlake, which I appreciated. 4y
CarolynM Yes, the Australian cover is cute, this one is a bit too much. Hope it doesn't put everyone off. 4y

I knew this would be ridiculous before I started it, but just how ridiculous was something I greatly underestimated. How can people still believe this in 2019?! 🤬🤬🤬

adesr16 I could not read this garbage. Kiddos ti you for reading it. 5y
Connster @adesr16 It‘s absolute tosh! Anyone who thinks this is a reasonable explanation of Jewish influence on the world needs a lesson or two and a kick up the arse! 5y

Hard to believe this can still be found in the non-fiction section of some libraries...
