Photo 2-Can you see why I‘m speechless? Ohh! Those beautiful books. This is too much @Avanders Love them. They are right here with me. Should I sleep with them so I can embrace them the whole night?☺️The candles smell so good and they are so cute! The journal! It has that vintage look. I‘m considering to use it for 2025 using journaling topics @TheBookHippie has recommended. Stunning 😍 @Avanders Thank you for this beautiful thoughtful box⬇️
@MommyOfTwo Thank you so much for the lovely package of goodies! I am looking forward to all these reads! I've already made the first pot of coffee, and it's wonderful ☕️ @Avanders Thank you so much for organizing the #stuffedstockingswap #sss
The reason I‘ve had this on my Kindle over a year is because I purchased it on an author‘s backlist that I discovered and really like. Glad I did because I liked this first in series and plan to continue with the next one.
Set in 1650 England our heroine Kate is a widow with a son who takes him to meet his father‘s family they had never met because of a family falling out. When the patriarch dies, she is left in control of the family estate 🔻
I always enjoy a little mystery with my historical romance, although I didn‘t quite feel the chemistry between the two main characters.

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

Cute, but some historical inaccuracies pulled me out of the story. And I'm not talking about historical events here, more like words used before their time, or period inappropriate clothing (e.g.: don't call it 'drawers' and then describe 20th/21st century female underwear).

4 ⭐ I almost DNFed this book multiple times. There were times when it came to the map making shop, that things just didn‘t historically fit right with me based on all of other historical romance I have read in the past. And I don‘t know why I kept going back to it, but I did. I‘m glad I did. I thoroughly enjoyed this book once I got over whatever problem I had in the beginning. This is a typical historical romance. It‘s trophy, it‘s expected,
