Asking: does anyone else feel like this is an Austin novel stretched out over multiple volumes? I enjoy it but I‘m ready to move faster and have so many more books I want to read. Do I continue this reading investment? Has anyone read all of the volumes?

I sat for nearly 30 minutes critiquing this book instead of enjoying the read. When I realized what I was doing, I had enough. 100+ pages in and I'm done. DNF

Just didn't buy the 2 main characters and honestly, it really came across as a couple of guys writing a thriller, paint by number style. Just doesn't work and I've bailed.

Had to bail. The silliest most stupid bunch of idiots in the most ridiculous scenario. And please STOP with the Agatha Christie comparisons. It couldn‘t touch her genius in a million years. #hailthebail

*Sigh* My second bail of the month. I'm sure this may be interesting to some people, but the first handful of "life lessons" discuss how they decide to wear their hair, what kind of glasses to buy, and what gender to select on their health monitoring app. Not exactly riveting reading for me. I guess it provides insight into the decision making of an intersex person, but that is not what I'm in the mood for now.

Three sisters get together in the memory of their fourth sister when their childhood home is up for sale. Bailing after finishing almost 2/3rd of the book and all this while I was thinking, when does it get interesting? Hard to bail after seeing all the love this one gets on the internet.

Of course! the title made me read it. But, if the narrator decides to break the fourth wall, they GOTTA be interesting enough to get me through 300+ pages. Still kept reading till 50% hoping it might get better, and I might get the hype.

I was having trouble engaging with the story to start. Then I realized the fairies weren‘t all going to be sweet and sassy Tinkerbells. Too dark for me. 🤷🏼‍♀️
