James Henderson, a paparazzi, will chase Grace Kelly into Duval, a perfume store in Monaco, where she will meet the owner and perfumist, Sophie. All 3 will have no idea how important this chance meeting will play out. This is a romance set against the backdrop of Grace Kelly‘s engagement to the Prince of Monaco. It was sweet and lovely. It had me feeling wistful. There were some one liners in here that just turned my heart light on. Pick!

This Spring it had bloomed so much. We had a lot of rain this year. One of the storms was especially vicious and battered that poor bush. The next morning it still had roses but a lot of them had been lost. But the image that remained was breathtaking. 👇🏼 (edited) 1y

Reggie That rose bush looked as if it had risen out of a pink pool of petals. And with all the knocking around you could smell it‘s sweet scent further than usual. Anyways, happy reading! (edited) 1y

I enjoyed this historical fiction tale about two “ordinary” people - a French perfumer and a British photographer - caught up in the excitement and glamour of Grace Kelly‘s marriage to Prince Rainier in 1956. The details of the craziness surrounding the wedding were fascinating. I also enjoyed learning a bit about how perfumes are created. And the descriptions of the gorgeous Côte d‘Azur scenery made me want to hop on a plane to France!

Finished this one today and really enjoyed it! I‘m not an old movie person, so idk if I‘ve ever seen a Grace Kelly movie. However, I still really enjoyed this book about Grace, Sophie and James.

When I visited a local used bookstore to locate a copy of Wuthering Heights, I found this instead to add to my collection of Grace Kelly books. I had a credit at the shop for books that I have sold there, so this was a gift to me from me! 😂

JamieArc Have you read the tagged book? Grace Kelly is a side character, but the book was lovely and it sent me down a GK rabbit hole.
