Playing catch up! This book is sitting on my unread shelf and I promise I‘m going to get to you next year! I watched David Lynch‘s movie The Elephant Man as a child and was so moved by Joseph‘s plight. For most of history society has been afraid of and ridiculed and isolated deformity (as well as other health issues that have been treated as “horrific”). Health is another source of diversity we need to understand 💕
