This book is so cozy and warm. About what makes a home and family.
Set in the lead up to Christmas so even though there‘s witches, it‘s a perfect read for December as well.
And though there‘s romance here, that‘s not the main focus of the book.

#Top24of24 + 1!
I love deep thoughts of contemporary lit, and I love interesting themes given wit and care. Make me laugh, make me cry, be silly, #FoundFamily #ExquisiteWriting, daring and considerate treatment of the human condition.
Had the second of three MRIs this morning at 7am, which, incidentally, is the perfect time to whack up the schedule of the MRI practice when a 10-12min exam turns into a 40min exam. They found something minor but nobody told me about it at the moment and I spiraled a bit, until I read the results.
Anyway, I got myself some books, because an emotional roller-coaster is better with emotional support books.
Two audiobooks and one ebook.
I knew I was terrible at putting things in Goodreads, fable, or story graph, but this was only at 75 when I started two hours ago. I believe excessively bad is more fitting 😂😂😂
My fave contemporary romances of 2024! All of these books burrowed their way into my heart and didn‘t let go.❤️❤️❤️
Book mail is the best kind of mail! The haul from my latest ThriftBooks spree, including a free Reading Rewards book. Happy belated birthday to me and happy early holidays. 😄 I‘m looking forward to reading all of these in the next few months and will probably start with the tagged book.
Now that the semester is over, my holiday reading can begin in earnest! 😍
I laughed out loud at least twice during this book. It was a perfect blend of found family, realistic struggles, and HEAs.

Being sick has been great for my reading! I‘ve finished so many books in the last week. This is a debut light fantasy novel. It‘s a found family, traveling journey story. Tao is a fortune teller, but only small fortunes. She tried to keep her magic use to a minimum. She meets a bunch of characters and they start traveling together, looking for Mash‘s missing daughter.
This book was just lovely but at the same time deals with prejudices.
When you‘re sick you just need some tea, lots of supplies and a good book.
Was traveling for work this week and of course picked something up. So trying to be cozy this weekend.
Here's the books from your #AuldLangSpine list, @sebrittainclark, that were on #MountTBR already.
I'm trying to decide which book to start with, Cascade Failure (most looking forward to) or Bride (Hazelwood's last few romances have been #MoreMehThanYeah for me).
Guess I can always add a tenth book from the list and roll a D10. 😉
