For #readathon #shortstories and #UncannyOctober #fablesandfolklore, here's this little book I picked up a while ago. It was a must-read for me because I don't know very much about Welsh legends at all! It's quite small so I think at some point I'll set myself a challenge to read one a day. There's a Welsh names pronunciation guide at the back which I think will come in very handy! @RealLifeReading

Just a bit of my Celtic (mostly Irish) #fablesandfolklore collection. Other cultures and generic folklore are on another bookcase (with Robin Hood and King Arthur). I have so much in the way of books history, archaeology, etc of the Celts that the Celts get their own bookcase. #uncannyOctober @RealLifeReading

The Children of Hurin is a beautiful reinterpretation of nordici myths. So absolute powerful.

The little blue books are a tiny part of my collection of fables and fairy tales from around the world.

I have a lot of fairy tales and folklore from Britain on my shelves: some from my travels, some from classes in college (Celtic Myths & Legends for the win!); but I also had to include my book of South African folk tales—one for each of the country‘s official languages! 🇿🇦
