I thought it was an interesting concept. It started out well. However, as I kept listening to the audiobook, I felt a bit bored with it. The ending was not surprising to me and did not pack a punch like I thought it would be. 3/5 stars is what I rated it as.

Ignore that Stephen King blurb on the cover. There's no way that his standards are this low. The writing is clunky and the characters lack depth. There were little things that bothered me, like the way characters' outfits were described when there was no reason to mention them. Maybe the book suffers from being overhyped. It's a summer beach read throwaway that no one will be talking about next summer. #eh
