Despite having a preeeeeeety cover, I could not care less about anything in the first 63 pages before I quit. After the murder in the first chapter, nothing happens. Nothing at all. It's so boring! Also, I was expecting psychological suspense but it's actually Christian romantic suspense. I'm fine with that, but something has to happen!!!

Oh my gosh, this book...haunting, heartbreaking, gorgeous. Jojo's story hurt my heart. He had so much stacked against him at such a young age. I loved the use of ghosts and magical realism (which I usually hate). A book not easily forgotten.

Oh my gosh, I LOVED this. I started out thinking it would be dumb (Harley Quin? Come on.), but I found each story lovely, and even teared up at the end (and rewound it about five times, thanks to Hugh Fraser's affecting narration). A totally pleasant surprise.

I didn't love the MC, but boy did I love the cold chill of the setting! A snowed-in claustrophobic small town in northern Iceland is the best setting for secrets and murder.

I wish my copy had had this cover! I can't get over how awesome it is. Tommy and Tuppence bring more of their 1920s realness and I like it.

I got NOWHERE on my #ermadlibs challenge. I suck at challenges where I have to read specific books. I did start Meddling Kids. I will go back to this book. I was enjoying it, it was just timing. I also started Monstrous, but read less than 50 pages. Maybe later. I also read the first 5 pages of queen of hearts. It's still in my backpack from book expo. Ughhh
